DATA ENTRY / SCANNING - JULY 2006 (Position Filled)

PT/FT with some flexibility and casual positions.

Strategic Data’s bureau services (data entry & scanning) cover a wide range of jobs from research support to universities, collection of Education Department data about schools, Health Department mental health information and a range of organizational surveys run by management consultants.

Sometimes the projects span over less than a day - sometimes they're ongoing.

Sometimes, they’re relatively easy and only numeric - Others are slow, cumbersome, bulky surveys that need careful assessment for each keystroke (ok - an exaggeration!).

We are a fairly small data entry service. As a general rule we try to maintain a pool of casual data entry operators of around 15 people - each of whom work varying hours according to the level of work on and their individual needs.

Currently, we’re also looking at employing a Part Time or Full Time data entry operator as the level of work is sufficiently constant for this.

Requirements

For casual work, you need to be:

• Reasonably fast data entry operator (10kph +), (or if you don’t know your keystrokes per hour rate - at the very least be able to type 50-60 words per minute)
• Be able to adapt to differing data entry needs - each project is different, each requires carefully following different instructions

Full Time / Part Time Position:

You need the above skills PLUS:

• Ideally demonstrate your experience in data entry and /or scanning
• Be available on an ongoing basis for reasonably regular hours (with some flexibility)
• Ideally demonstrate any other relevant skills - admin, phones, data processing experience, etc
